This project was a school assignment to create a simple system of letters to resemble an entire typeface. A requirement was for us to use a strict pixel system to create letters. The concept behind these letterforms was to create a modern look on a blackletter typeface. The grid allowed these letters to be made up of mathematical modules to create a pleasing repetition of sizes throughout the forms. The simple flourishes and negative space connects the letters to old blackletter typefaces to create a new blend between modern and traditional.
