Poster Fold Design
The Poster Fold Design project was to create an advertising poster fold for a chosen music festival. The Cali Vibes festival is one that celebrates the unique culture and music of the state of California. This design captures the shape of the state while enforcing a 70s-hippy feel within the typefaces. The organic shape is contrasted with a strong geometric sans serif type face. This organic and geometric contrast is carried on through the rest of the design through strong diagonals and an organic header typeface.

Most of the work was done to the back page. The diagonal in the texture was continued by rectangular vectors. The list of events was updated to capture the tone of the music festival as a whole better by having a new organic form with “Cali Vibes” and having a looser structure in the days.
Type Manipulation Process
The type manipulation was meant to capture the music festival’s passion about California as a state and the surfer/hippy culture.
