Bigfoot: A Metaphor for the Wilderness
GDSN 377 with Ashley Fuchs // Fall 2024
The purpose of this project was to synthesize extensive research into a comprehensible poster. The research included interviews, ethnographic studies, and visiting Montana State University’s special collections library. The research found was used to create multiple infographics and other information that displayed all the findings in a pleasing and understandable way. The project ended up being displayed in an exhibition at Echo Arts in Bozeman, MT.
The main focus of this project was to analyze how people felt about Bigfoot. This was found out through interviews with people of varying expertise in the subject, students to professional Bigfoot researchers, as well as an ethnographic study of what 4th and 6th graders think Bigfoot looks like.
